Getting Out of My Head

It’s a lazy Sunday afternoon, and I was thinking about what I wanted to tackle first on my bucket list. Some things are going to be more challenging than others, and I’m not quite ready to give up T.V. yet (addict)… but I can definitely write a letter.

I had a card that I thought was cute that featured an Alice lookalike on the cover, so I thought through my friend set with dogs. My mind settled on my friend Kali, who not only has dogs, but has had a lot going on recently and still finds time to be there for me when I need her. She’s someone with a good heart and great advice – she deserves a little pick-me-up in the mail.

I realized in writing this how difficult it’s going to be to do this for a year – it’s not at all about the level of effort, it’s the awkward nature of explaining to someone why they’re getting a random note. But I’ll figure it out, and I’m only going to be writing to people who already know me as weird. So the perception is accurate.

So one item on the bucket list is 1/12 done… getting there slowly but surely. I look forward to chronicling the progress.
